Paint for fun in a group setting of like-minded learners over 6 x three-hour sessions in a professional artist’s studio. Unpack your painterly questions about perspective, composition, brushwork, and colour while studying some of the great works of painters past. Complete a personal project in class that reflects your progress that you can hang on your wall or gift with pride.

What you will learn in this class:
• Glimpse art history and expand your painting knowledge through exercises that revisit some modern masters such as Édouard Manet
• How to use a drawn study to improve your painting results
• Tips on perspective, composition, and glazing and scumbling techniques
• Deeper understanding of colour mixing
• How to keep inspired and push through the “ugly” phase of a painting

Level: You have taken Painting for Beginners or have some acrylic painting experience

Standard: $435 Bring your own paint, canvas and other supplies
Standard Plus: $520 includes all art supplies provided in the studio so you can just show up and paint
Premium: $595 additonally includes two follow-up 30 minute coaching sessions online or a 1-hour private session with me in-person (value $120) for artistic guidance, demonstration, or just to ask questions
